
DANICIA’s DIVERSE EXPERIENCE DELIVERS UNDERSTANDING & RESULTS
Danicia is an experienced business leader, project manager and strategist, with a passion for destination development, urban environments, stakeholder engagement and driving cultural change through creative implementation, built across 30 years of management, consulting, and leadership roles.
Danicia brings to Place.ID a successful and long-standing career in working in difficult and challenging environments in the commercial sector, the resource sector, the creative industries, economic development, place activation and local government.
Her diverse background has included senior management positions with the University of Western Australia, Urbis, Fremantle Chamber of Commerce, Fashion Council WA, Woodside Energy, BHP Billiton and the City of Westminster in the UK.
As Chief Executive Officer of the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce she led the organisation’s Development & Infrastructure, Tourism, Marine & Engineering and Small Business & Retail Committees, working on transport corridor advocacy (including the Fremantle rail crossing re-alignment), place activation and utilisation of under-utilised heritage spaces.
As part of her role at the Chamber Danicia was the organisation’s lead on the Minister’s Future Fremantle Committee looking at transition of North Quay following movement of the container port to the south.
Her diverse range of experience that gives her the platform to be able to develop an evidence-based strategy, to engage and successfully implement projects requirements, and to drive successful outcomes for both the client, and the community.
She recently graduated with a Certificate in Urban Design (High Distinction) from the University of Western Australia and will complete her Masters of Landscape Architecture, UWA in 2025. This provides a strong theoretical understanding of working on country, current and emerging trends in development of our urban and regional communities.
